Pretty normal, crazy day around here. I got to sew for a while this morning, once again, I love Yochien!! So nice to have a few hours with just Luke in the mornings. I finished up the last of the Thanksgiving Turkey in a Turkey/rice soup for dinner. I didn't think it tasted all that great, short a few ingredients, but it was a hit and everyone ate a ton, except for Emma, can't win them all I guess.
Tonight, like every other night, Jacob didn't want to go to bed. I sat in the boys room for a while nursing Luke, but after about a half an hour Isaac was asleep, and I was done messing around with Jacob. So, I went out, shutting the door behind me. He came down about 30 sec. behind me screaming. I reput him back up in bed. And he came back down....and so on, about 3 times. (we couldn't find the bungie cord tonight). But after 3 times of it he stopped. I was shocked it stopped so soon. The girls were happy, they just wanted to start our game of Scrabble. Anyway, about a half an hour later when the girls went up to bed, this is what they found....(the pic).....Jakey and Duch, all snuggled up together in the girls bed. Duchess had been in the boys room on the floor, patiently enduring the screaming, I guess she followed him in to the girls room though.
Wish me luck, tomorrow Luke and I are going mecan picking with the second graders. Mecans are like tangerines. The kids love them, they're the perfect snack size for them, and the peel practically falls off itself.

I can't handle dogs in bed either!! But I have relented to letting her in Emma's bed. Emma wants to sleep with her every night. It is the ONLY piece of furniture she is allowed on. The only problem is that Emma's bed is also Sarah's bed, and poor Sarah doesn't like it. I offer her one of the boys bunks, because there is an extra, but she'd rather endure Duchess. Don't tell me with 4 kids you've never had to use a bungie cord. It all started at Wymount with Emma, she used to be the worst. But then she pulled the door knob off inside, so we didn't need the bungie cord anymore. Isaac did the same thing about a year and a half ago.
