Well, look who's back!!! Our computer got a deadly virus, so Adam had to wipe it clean and put all new software on it. And now it doesn't hate http://www.workman-family.blogspot.com/ anymore!!! I'm a bloggin fool once more.
This will be short for now though, seeing that I'm in the middle of cleaning for a showing this afternoon, and an openhouse tomorrow morning. Sunday morning before chuch one of our puppies stopped by to visit her mommy before we move. This is Lola on the right, or "Lizzy, our yellow collared pup". She weighs almost as much as her mom now, 82lbs. It was so fun to see her! She's our down town Boston pup, living right by Fenway park. She loved running in the yard-since she doesn't have one, and wouldn't leave Beatrix, our cat, alone. She apparently doesn't see cats much.

Finally, a little R & R!!! Well, not really, I'm staying quite busy trying to keep the house clean and plants watered. I've turned into the Nazi mom about shoes OFF in the house and USE A PLATE WHEN YOU EAT! We had an open house last Sunday, and another one scheduled for this Sunday. We've had one showing on top of that, and another later today. I can't post any pics of the finished attic because my desk top with all the pics won't load Workman-family.blogspot.com for some reason! But for now, www.279jepsonlane.com has more pics than anyone would ever care to see I'm sure.
We've pretty much lived at Home Depot the last 3 years, and gotten to know many of the employees by first name. Last night when Adam and I were there returning a few last things, and then buying boxes and tape, a few of the empoyees got teary eyed. Ok, not really, but we did get a few comments. It's kind of weird not spending all my money on a daily basis there right now. Weird and NICE.

More pics from G&G's visit.

Kim took the girls for pedi's Tuesday morning (a new post-marathon tradition for me I decided!) We got the hot rocks foot massage--it felt totally awesome, and I thought, we could totally do this at home! So we stopped by a nearby rocky beach on the way home and got a collection of massage rocks. The girls popped them in the crock pot, and set everything up. Luke, in his Micky Mouse underwear, was Sarah's first client.

Jake was Emma's first client, and he was so pleased with his that after she was done he ran and found his wallet and came back with 50 cents and asked for another.
Time for some Mentos and Coke. If only we were quicker at getting those Mentos in the bottle. Time to invent something...
Each time it was a race to the soda to finish it off. And we wondered why they weren't tired?
And then time for a bon-fire and smore's. The fire doesn't look all that big here, but we had everyone scootin back their chairs every few minutes. Lots and lots of wood to burn that was hanging out in the basement which we recently cleaned out.

Who knew you could teach a pony to shake? She really did. She says "shake" and Tinker lifts up his leg. Smart little pony.

Saturday sports day! Last Saturday my dad and Kim were able to experience a Saturday sports day at the Workman's. It actually worked out perfectly--everything was at the YMCA, we just ran back and forth from events and caught it all! And I have such great pics from Sarah's meet, I love it! Normally I don't get very good pics while trying to video and take care of the boys at the same time. But having my dad there was like having brought a long a professional photographer, it was great!!
In this pic, it looks like Sarah is balanced up on top of the bar, but actually she just has that much air on the beam! Look at the ponytail to prove it!

This was a YMCA state meet, and Sarah took 1st in all of her events, and 1st all around!! Go Sarah!!

Bars are Sarah's favorite.
Look at that ponytail!
During the middle of the meet, we ran outside to catch Isaac's triathalon. He really needs a better bike, but passed a lot of kids on the run.
And then inside for the swim. Freestyle wasn't working out so good, so a quick flip over for backstroke.
And then Emma's tri. Adam was a little more than irritated that this boy behind her drafted off of her the entire way. I know, sounds silly, he must not be meaning to, right? But he was inches behind her the entire way, and if she zigged, he zigged, if she zagged, he zagged. Pretty sure he knew what he was doing. Drafting is against the rules in tri's, but they didn't explain that rule to the kids....

Back to Sarah's meet.
And more great action shots thanks to Grandpa!! Thanks Dad!

This pretty much describes every Saturday around here. Fun, I LOVE it, but when are we supposed to finish up this dang house and get it for sale?? I need help from the house remodeling fairy....

Team Workman waiting for us at mile 19, the start of heartbreak hill, was an awesome boost!! My dad and Kim had helped the kids secretly make these shirts, our only clue was: "Mom, look for yellow!" Our friends, the Truscotts, were cheering us on about a 1/2 mile before the kids too. I've never known a single person cheering for me before, it was the BEST! I also had written my name w/a sharpie on each of my arms, so I heard a lot of "go Becky" and "you can do it Becky" this time. The Boston crowd was so amazing. The ENTIRE 26.2 miles of route was lined with spectators cheering and handing out drinks, treats, and high fives. At mile 2 I even got emotional because of the crowd! Weird, I know, I've never done that before. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, 58 degrees with a tiny bit of crosswind for AC. "Team Workman", the kids each have their team number (birth order) on their back.

Why does Sarah have the heavier brother on her shoulders?
Adam left in the first wave of runners, so he was the first to see the "yellow". He saw them from a ways back and approached them with a grin from ear to ear.
High fives for everyone!!
Wish we could stay and chat, but gotta keep going!
I saw the "yellow" and had to quickly cross over to the other side of the street, almost taking out a few people. A slap on the head for Jake who was looking right past me, a quick high five and "I love you!" and I was on my way. It was just the boost I needed to get up heart break hill!!
Thank you Dad and Kim!!! It was soo fun to have you and the kids there!!!

I guess I am blogging quarterly now. Bad mom. I'm going to try harder, it really doesn't take that long to put a few pictures and updates on! We have been BUSY turning the attic into our dream master suite the last few months, and hope to finish very soon--we need to get the house on the market! For rent or sale, we really don't even care at this point! I'll post pics soon, we're so close, I just want to post finished product pics now.

So for a few Workman Family updates....

Sarah took 3rd in state at a USA gymnastics meet a few weeks ago!!! It was a fun day, I love watching her, although I get nervous. Her best was on bars, she got a 9.3. Bars are her favorite event.

After her meet we were all STARVED. I have heard a lot of good things about the mexican restaurants in Providence, so we decided to try to find some. We don't really know our way around Providence, but had the GPS, so just started driving around. The areas we kept finding oursleves in looked a little sketchy, but we were starved and decided it was fine. At the first one we stopped at, we piled out of the Suburban, locked ALL the doors, and started walking in on all sides of Adam. Every head on the street turned, and as we got closer, we realized it was more of a bakery, and made a mad dash back for the car. The next one we found we hoped was in a little better part of town. It looked mexican to us, spanish writing on the outside, but I didn't recognize the flag out front, hoping all Latino food would have bottomless chips and salsa. We got in, sat down, and were given some menus. It was a Guatamalan restaurant. The picture on the front of the menu had a fish head and boiled eggs, and no sign of chips and salsa anywhere. We were out of there. The kids all decided McDonald's sounded awesome, and begged us to find one. I begged Adam just to get on the freeway and we'd stop at the first Chilis. At least there we'd get bottomless chips and salsa! At this point the kids were getting to the past hunger stage, so Adam drove on. And happy ending to this story, we enjoyed a fabulous meal together at Chilis. Thank you Chili's, for coming through yet once again!
