2 posts in one day,
I know, I need to calm down already....but these little birds are so cute I just have to post a few pics! We have a tick problem here, and the best tick control available (I've tried pest control, didn't work) is just getting guinea fowl. They're not 100%, but pretty dang close. There are high numbers of lyme disease in this part of the country, and the ticks that usually carry lyme disease are about the size of a pin head. I pull 2-3 ticks off my kids a week lately, so something needed to be done.
These are our new pets........Lucy & Lilly, Jack & Jill, Freddy& Flip, Diego & Dora, & Pebbles & Bam Bam. 10 in all, the kids each got 2. They're free ranging, they only have to be fed a little because they mostly eat bugs and ticks. They roost in the trees, you just have hope they don't pick the tree above your car to roost in, cause that's where their poop falls. They're also very good watch dogs....but we've already got one of those.

you guys have adventure after adventure at your house!! I love seeing what the new animal of the week is for you!
Maybe you should start charging money to come to your little farm. You are the funnest mom. I give up!
Sometimes they roam and decide to roost at your neighbor's house and that neighbor may not like all the poop on their porch. If that's a problem, then you make a pen and feed them in the pen and keep them penned up at night and in the morning keep one hen in when you release the others and the others will not go too far. (Nice run-on!)
what? a farm IN THE HOUSE?!?!
i remember you being HUGE AND YET SKINNY pregnant (i know, i was jealous!) with her--i cant believe she's 11 now too--its kind of a fun age--did her hair get cut?
how fun to head to BYU for a week!
wow! lots of fun, cute pix on your blog. Glad I finally got on the computer today. The chicks do look cute. And the kids are still cute as ever too. Looks like a fun summer!
