My brother's follow me EVERYWHERE!
That was the title of a poem that Sarah wrote at school and we typed up tonight. The poem went like this:
My brothers follow me EVERYWHERE!
When I am in my room they barge in
When I am in the tree house they climb up
They touch EVERYTHING and break it
They cry if they can’t follow me
When I go in my tree house they do
When I go on the trampoline they do
When I go in my room they do
They follow me EVERYWHERE!
At least she's venting her frustrations, that's healthy, right? She told me her teachers thought it was funny and picked it for the one she had to publish. She didn't see the humor in it like they did.
Emma came home from school today telling me that she'd run 1 mile in 6:56!! On the GRASS! That's faster than I can run. They had to try out for 5th grade field day. Only one other boy in her class beat her, coming in at 6:04. She said she wants to train this next month so she can beat him.
I got the girls swimming again. The team Em was swimming with on base lost their coach and dissolved for the time being. She took the past 6 wks off while we figured out what to do, and Sarah took a little break from gymnastics....my life was SO much simpler! But we're back to the usual craziness!! We found another team (further away and more expensive, but what do you do?) and she and Sarah started this week. Yes, I've got Sarah swimming again instead of gymnastics for the summer (her trial period she says, to decide what she wants to do) which will simplify my life, a 2 for 1 deal!! My life is revolving around the "S" word: SIMPLIFY!! (ok, between the pets and children 3&under, there really are 2 "S" words! but I'll save that for another day)
Today my friend Ellen came over, (her husband's in Iraq and she has 4 kids 5&under!). We had lunch and I helped her kids make a stepping stone for Mother's day....that's what I'd requested for my presents from my kids, so I already had all the supplies. Adam was going to help my boys make theirs so it would be a surprise for me, but they were dying to do theirs as well....who needs surprises? The sun came out for a whole 30 minutes while we worked, it was so much fun!! We're going to try to plant our very 1st garden this Saturday....wish us luck!! Any helpful tips from all you gardeners would be WELCOMED!!

They follow her cuz she is so darn sweet!!!!
Holy cow that is a fast mile pace for a little girl! Emma's going to the Olympics! Your kids are awesome.
That is very fast. I don't know if I have ever ran a mile that fast before.
Emma is following after her mom! She needs to come run with Kason...I bet they would make each other even faster! Kason is fast, but I don't think that fast. It would humble him to have Emma beat him:) It sounds like she is a little competitive...must be the first child!
Good Luck on the garden...wish I had some tips but I don't even seem to be able to grow tomatoes!
whoo hoo go girl! rachel's fastest time is 7.38....she's always 1st place..
the poem was HILARIOUS!
ive been thinking about putting the older 2 girls in a swim thing..but i am NOT a fan of being gone away from the house all the time..i figure in HS they'll be busy..right now they can just be home or in the front yard or back yard swimming!
