girls night out!
I got out for a girls night out tonight! Yeah, I need those once in a while. We saw a good movie, Holiday. Very cute chick flick. Although I was totally disturbed that there were two little boys, maybe 6 and 8 yrs old, sitting behind us watching it w/their parents. Hello! Who takes their little boys to a PG13 chick flick?? So the babysitter cancelled, maybe you'll have to too!! Anyway, it wasn't that bad, but it just wasn't a show for two little boys. Ok, new subject. Adam had branch pres. mtgs tonight, and is still there! Hello, it's going on 10:00! Poor guy.So I made a new friend this past week who has gotten me very interested in machine embroidery...right now I have Santa watching a few computerized embroidery sewing machines on ebay. I've been a very good girl this year, we'll see how it works out. This new friend, she's moving at the end of the week. I seem to always do that, meet really nice friends right before they leave, that way I get to be friends w/them for a really long time, maybe a week or a month. It's great. That's military life for you.Yesterday I took Christmas sugar cookies to Isaac and Jacob's Yochien classes and let them frost and decorate them. Japanese sweets normally aren't very sweet, often made of rice, with a little sweet bean surprise inside. I'm sure the sensei's appreciated the sugar high they were all on the rest of the day. The boys were so excited to have me there, it was so fun. And it was so nice to leave the mess there...now we don't have to decorate any at home this year! The babysitter did a good job tonight, 4 kids asleep in Emma and Sarah's bed, just like every night.
